Suzie enjoys her comfy new blanket!

After a particularly nasty bout of wintry weather Mrs Wilkinson suggested that we made peggy squares and made a blanket for our school Guinea Pigs Butterscotch and Suzie.  Some of us took on the challenge, learnt a new skill and produced a great blanket for our pets!

I wanted to help the Guinea Pigs because if I were them I would want them to be warm! Lucy

I knew I would help them out because I would not like to be cold :) Evette

Fitness

Don’t know any good running stretches? Keep reading to find out how to do some really great running stretches to be an awesome runner! To improve your stretches from good to excellent you need to do them daily. Some great stretches are lunges , you take a reasonable step forward and bend down, your knee can’t touch the ground otherwise it will not stretch ,you can also do it with weights if you want. Another good stretch is squatting down (again with weights if you want). Make sure you are doing them properly otherwise it will not affect your strength or running! Make sure you’re doing them daily! If you find it actually helps you might be able enter a triathlon like the Weet-Bix triathlon and when you are older you might be able to do a marathon or an iron man!!!

Funky Fractions!

In Room 9 we have been looking at fractions.

Here we are cutting apples into fractions: halves, quarters and eigths!

Kate and Bonnie are busy counting...

Heath and Nathan are terrific Communicators!

Nikki and Billie are great Thinkers!

Suzy and Butterscotch enjoyed our maths time too :) they ate apples all weekend!

What is Healthy Eating...

Room 9 are currently looking at what foods are healthy.  

Here we are cutting out foods to fill our plates with fruit, veges, protein and whole grains. 

We discovered that a healthy diet is all about a balanced diet!

Sophia is cutting up a storm...

What is it box?

I cautiously popped the lid off the container.  Slowly I put my trembling fingers onto a wooden, smooth and hard object.  I shook it carefully, it rebounded off all sides sounding like a cannon being fired.
