Puke Ariki Visit - WILD FOODS!!

On Thursday Room 9 went to Puke Ariki.  Hoani was teaching us about different Wild Foods that use to be gathered.  Evette is holding a plant called puha.

Hoani took us down to a garden beside the museum.  He showed us several plants that can be eaten.  This plant is called a kawakawa.  You find it growing in bush areas and can make a tea from it.  If you have a toothache you can chew on a leaf and it will feel better.
