Assembly Animoto
Assembly Thoughts...
As
I sat down I felt nervous, actually really nervous. As I stood for the karakia I was sweating and as red as a beetroot
because it was my turn to speak next. I
felt as scared as a mouse as I stood by the microphone because there were
thousands of faces looking at me. “Well done Year 5 and 6’s…” the words just flew
off my tongue, I felt spectacular.

I felt nervous when singing the karakia and the Hiwi the
Kiwi song. In assembly we shared some water safety messages, some of our class
were dressed up and we shared our charcoal drawings. I saw my mum come in and I
froze like a statue.

On
Friday we were putting on an amazing assembly. We waited for the audience. I
waited for my turn. Finally it was my here, my heart was like a cheetah’s after
it had been chasing a zebra. I was a
nervous as I had been a couple of weeks earlier when I had to get into the
freezing cold pool. “Let others know before you go!” I spoke clearly into the
microphone. I felt so proud of myself!
